With the traditional 60cm depth the wall unit is too near the face creating a cooped up feeling. For sufficient visibility on the worktop, the height of the wall unit from the top must be at least 54cm. However, this height makes it difficult to see and pick up the contents of the wall unit.The 60cm depth is now becoming obsolete and it is preferable to use it only if space is a real problem.
