AESTHETIC DESIGN INNOVATION
Flight and Lightness
Flight and lightness are not subject to fashion because they correspond to three fundamental needs of Man:
- an ancestral need. Man has always had the unconscious desire to become light and take flight in the air.
- an environmental need. Flight and lightness satisfy the now imperative need of harmony with nature, on an Earth that has become increasingly more impoverished by the greed of the consumer society. This balance can be reached by means of a design philosophy based on dematerialisation.
- the need of freedom. Flight and lightness visually represent the concept of freedom.
