Consumers today are confused by the wide variety of certification at hand. There is so much information available that confusion can set in. We end up making errors in judgment, instead of recognizing product quality. There are a bewildering number of new labels that make it hard to distinguish between quality standards for the manufacturing process, trade association seals of approval and company trademarks used for advertising. When we took an careful look at the matter, we found that the subject is very complicated. We will try to summarize it for you in the next few pages.
