Valcucine Expo Sessions: , health, gourmet, sustainability

On the occasion of the World Expo in Milan Valcucine renews its commitment to a culture of sustainability that has as its aim the promotion of a better future, both in terms of personal well-being and in terms of global impact.

The renowned Friuli-based company will be present in various locations throughout the six months of . Firstly at Identità Expo, a major gourmet event organised by Identità Golose that features haute cuisine of the highest level, then at the Cereals and Tubers Cluster on the Expo site, and, lastly, in its flagship store in Milan's Brera district with the Tempting Art installation dedicated to food and its Eco bookshop dedicated to books about sustainability.

At Identità Expo Valcucine is the principle protagonist of the show cooking area on the first floor of the temporary restaurant: for six months the space will host lectures, meetings, debates and live cooking demonstrations, as well as a refined pop-up restaurant where the best chefs from the Italian and International gastronomic landscape will take turns at the stove. The brand's Artematica kitchen, with its innovative back panel, will be the hi-tech backdrop to the performances of great chefs.

Launching the event on May 1st (until May 3rd) is Massimo Bottura, chef patron of the Osteria Francescana in Modena. He is followed by other illustrious chefs such as Ugo Alciati, Carlo Cracco, Giancarlo Perbellini, Roberto and Enrico Cerea, Gennaro Esposito, Marco Stabile, Emanuele Scarello, Moreno Cedroni, Davide Oldani, Pino Cuttaia, Francesco Apreda, Davide Scabin, Antonino Cannavacciuolo, to name but a few.

Valcucine has partnered up with Farine Varvello at the Cereals and Tubers Cluster on the Expo site. The pavilion welcomes visitors with an ensemble of colours, textures and smells that celebrate the cultivation of the world's best-known and most popular foodstuffs. The exhibition route unwinds much like a river, flowing through the various national pavilions and arriving in a large covered space. Here events and lectures on nutrition and health and cooking demonstrations will take place in an Artematica kitchen featuring the New Logica back panel and a Meccanica counter.

Visitors will be able to alternate between the more hectic and spectacular activities on the Expo site with moments of reflection at the Valcucine flagship store in Milan's Brera district. Here they can spend time in its Eco bookshop, one of the most comprehensively stocked sustainability bookstores in Italy, or enjoy the Tempting Art installation. Its curators, Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman, invited 22 guests to try their hand at an artistic culinary challenge. The architects, advertising creatives, photographers, painters, industrial designers and conceptual artists involved have created works that borrow from many different areas and centre on a series of concepts, emotions and flavours, a sort of imaginary menu to be devoured first with the eyes, and then, with the mind.

Through the Valcucine Expo Sessions people will have the opportunity to experience many different experiences by exploring the world of art , health , taste and sustainability .
