WE HAVE A DREAM: A WASTE FREE WORLD
THE LIFE-LONG RESPONSIBILITY GUARANTEE IS CENTRAL TO VALCUCINE'S FUORISALONE PROJECT.
Valcucine's space in Milan, in Corso Garibaldi 99, during the Fuorisalone 2012 furniture exhibition becomes a theatre to present the new life-long responsibility guarantee by means of an exhibit that portrays the company responsibility of various businesses.
We can no longer continue to produce today without worrying about the goods that we will accumulate in the environment tomorrow. This is where Valcucine's public commitment to take back its products and guarantee their disposal at the end of their life cycle comes from; a commitment that promotes the recycling and/or reconditioning processes of used materials.
The new MECCANICA system produced by the "demode engineered by Valcucine" brand name, born under the protection of Valcucine, is a concrete sign of this approach and the inspirational star of the Fuorisalone 2012 setting: a line with a light framework and an innovative design made up of single structural elements that are connected together using mechanical joints. No glues are used which means there is no trace of formaldehyde: Meccanica can be 90% reutilised and is 100% recyclable.
From the viewpoint of mutual sharing and enrichment, a space will be made available to some handicraft and non-handicraft businesses that are close to Valcucine's philosophy and to its world of company responsibility; these will recycle, repair and restore their products, showing the manual aspect of these operations that is not always immediately perceived. In this context, Patagonia Milan, IrideFixed of Modena, Caira design and Ecocucina.org, due to their sustainable DNA, are all partners of Valcucine at the Fuorisalone exhibition.
The Valcucine novelties will be exhibited in the basement of the showroom:
a new ISLAND version of the NEW LOGICA SYSTEM ergonomic system;
the new LaCucinaAlessi by Valcucine project by the Dutch architect Wiel Arets will witness to the company's flexibility in facing the requirements of the CONTRACT market;
an alliance between industry and handicrafts has resulted in the designer decorating the relaunched version of SINETEMPORE, the new traditional-style kitchen, with decors of by-gone days.
