During the workshop, the students, divided into groups and guided by the mentorship of Aoi Hasegawa, Programme Leader of Domus Academy<\/a>, and by the Project Leaders Marina Baracs and Laura Micalizzi, discussed the exploration of new retail context – inspired by Valcucine’s product and philosophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Domus Academy’s work introduces the showroom space conceived as a multifunctional place for displaying products through an emotional impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. “The customisation of the Genius Loci drawer. The craft technique of Murano glass<\/strong><\/em>“<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Students attending the Design Course in the Pordenone branch of ISIA Roma (in collaboration with MUVE<\/a>, Foundation of Civic Museums in Venice, and the Graphic Design and Communications students of the Abate Zanette Technical and Technological Institute<\/a>) have imagined new ways of customising the drawer of the Genius Loci collection, inspired by the glass manufacturing tradition of Murano. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus, Genius Loci<\/a> confirms itself as a means of enhancing the type of craftsmanship Italian culture was \u2013 and continues to be \u2013 famous for by wisely managing values, techniques and aesthetics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. “New<\/em><\/strong> living scenarios and emotion impact. Design of Interior Spaces”<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Exploration by the students of the Master in Interior & Living course of Domus Academy towards new living interior scenarios inspired by the Valcucine product and philosophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
