A discussion on Museums, Architecture and Context"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To celebrate the opening of the London Design Festival, on Saturday 19th 6.30pm\u00a0September Valcucine, in partnership with Driade, will host an event featuring guest speaker Sir David Chipperfield.<\/p>\n<p>Sir David will be in conversation with Kate Goodwin, Head of Architecture and Drue Heinz Curator at the Royal Academy of Arts, to discuss his approach to museum design, the importance of a sense of place and an understanding of the balance between the cultural meaning and technical performance of a building. He will describe architecture solutions that recall the identity of the institutions as well as the city it lives in and the ideas and values behind the creation of complex cultural heritage projects.<\/p>\n<p>Sir David was recently appointed Creative Director of Driade, one of Italy\u2019s most iconic design brands and part of ItalianCreationGroup together with Valcucine.
