On Savvinskaya Embankment in Moscow, overlooking the Moskva River, Tatyana Alenina and Vladimir Krasilnikov design a “total black” apartment where minimalism and material research create an intense yet luminous atmosphere, thanks to full-height glazing. The layout is deliberately fluid: sleeping area, living, and dining coexist, while service spaces remain discreet. Microcement, porcelain stoneware, wood, metal, and textiles compose a calibrated palette of blacks. At the centre is the Valcucine Genius Loci cucina in total black: Peltro Steel, Nero Assoluto granite, Black Elm, an island with Scratched Lacquer doors, and theatrical details, including a concealed door leading to a secret room.
