Zen in the city: architectural design with a modern touch in Taipei
In the vibrant heart of Taipei, this residence stands out for its architectural design and privileged skyline views, framed by refined, light-filled spaces. Its central location blends the city's energy with the tranquility of a private retreat, creating a harmonious balance between urban modernity and the desire for a zen space, ideal for contemporary and sophisticated living.
Within an avant-garde residential complex, a particular architectural element shines: the panoramic terrace. Seamlessly blending with the indoor spaces, this area creates a fluid continuity between inside and outside. Semi-external yet deeply integrated, the terrace expands the living area and transforms into a haven of tranquility, where the family can enjoy intimate moments without losing sight of the urban landscape.
Together with Instay Studio, the owners envisioned a home that combines comfort with everyday life. They opted for an essential and measured style, avoiding any form of ostentation. The color palette, with warm beige tones, envelops the spaces in a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Every detail has been carefully considered to create a welcoming and refined environment.
Designed in collaboration with our local partner, Hua Pin International, the kitchen embodies a perfect balance between functionality and elegance. Divided into two distinct areas—a Western-style open kitchen and a closed area dedicated to Chinese cuisine—it caters to the dual culinary soul of the owners. The central island, the focal point of the kitchen, serves both as a scenic element and a practical space, designed to facilitate movement and stimulate conviviality.

Featuring the Special Element Air Logica in Matte Cloud White Glass, the kitchen stands out for its cutting-edge technology and minimalist design. The innovative system discreetly integrates the faucet and hood, allowing utensils and tools to be concealed in deep compartments, effortlessly transforming the workspace into an elegant and orderly environment. The open kitchen area, perfect for informal meals, complements the closed area, which is engineered to ensure high ventilation performance, in line with traditional Asian cooking techniques. With Air Logica, the kitchen effortlessly transitions from functional space to a modern and sophisticated meeting place.
The project blends different materials—glass, metal, and wood—that harmonize with the soft beige tones that characterize the entire home. The result is a space where aesthetics and comfort merge, creating a sense of cohesion that reflects the surrounding nature.
The synergy between open and closed spaces, the state-of-the-art kitchen, and the careful selection of materials create an environment that meets daily needs while offering a tranquil and sophisticated retreat.
