Valcucine shines at iF DESIGN AWARD NIGHT 2025

On 28 April, the grandeur of Berlin's Friedrichstadt-Palast set the stage for the iF DESIGN AWARD NIGHT 2025, the most anticipated celebration in the international design calendar. Among the evening's brightest moments, Valcucine proudly accepted the iF DESIGN AWARD 2025 Gold in the kitchen systems category, a distinction awarded to only a handful of projects worldwide.

The prestigious If Design Gold Award was granted to New Logica, designed by Gabriele Centazzo, in recognition of its groundbreaking approach to kitchen ergonomics. With its elegant system of tilting upper doors and downward-sliding panels, New Logica transforms everyday kitchen use into a seamless, intuitive experience—redefining the boundaries between functionality and design.

The jury praised its innovative ability to conceal and reveal, offering both aesthetic purity and practical organization within open-plan spaces. The recent restyling—featuring walnut accessories and a new counterweight cover—further enhances integration and customization, underlining Valcucine's relentless pursuit of perfection.

The New Logica kitchen system by Valcucine is an innovative solution for open-plan kitchen and living areas. Its elegant mechanisms allow the space to be discreetly concealed when not in use. The execution is truly exceptional—premium materials, intuitive functionality, and inspiring design. ” – Jury statement.

Receiving the Gold Award on the world's largest theatre stage was more than an honor—it was a celebration of our values: timeless design, human well-being, and sustainable innovation.

“With New Logica, I wanted to give form to an idea of freedom—freedom to move, to choose, to express oneself. It's not just about aesthetics; it's about creating a kitchen that respects human gestures and adapts to the rhythm of life. A concept further enhanced by the presence of a ‘cloud of light' that replaces the back panel and makes the experience even more evocative.” –says Gabriele Centazzo

The evening also paid tribute to one of 's most influential figures: Lord Norman Foster was presented with the iF Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his extraordinary contribution to the built environment and his enduring impact on global architecture and design.

In addition to the Gold Award, Valcucine received further recognition in the “Interior Architecture” discipline, “Trade Fairs/Exhibitions” category, for the Architectural Scenarios project, presented at our Milan flagship store during 2024. The project redefines the traditional concept of a showroom, transforming it into an immersive and dynamic space where kitchen and architecture blend seamlessly. In Architectural Scenarios, the environments hosting the kitchens designed by Gabriele Centazzo were reinterpreted by three renowned international architecture and studios—ARRCC, i29, and —each placing Valcucine's models within unique architectural settings. The result is a powerful demonstration of Valcucine's versatility and its ability to adapt to different styles, cultures, and design sensibilities.

Held the day after the iF DESIGN AWARD NIGHT, the iF Design Trend Conference 2025 brought together some of the most visionary minds in the industry at the stunning AXICA venue in Berlin. Under the theme “The New Complexity of Simplicity in Design,” the sold-out explored the intersections of technology, creativity, and leadership. From Shane Griffin's artistic 3D narratives to Martha Tsigkari's insights on disruptive technologies in architecture, and Tey Bannerman's vision of the evolving design leader, the conference offered a compelling snapshot of the future of design—where emotion, innovation, and ethics converge.
